The University of Reading (UoR) and Shandong Agricultural University (SDAU) in China are delighted to announce an agreement that will enable students from SDAU to study at UoR at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, based in our School of Agriculture, Policy and Development (SAPD). As of this month (26 May 16), UoR will accept Masters applications from SDAU students who have successfully completed undergraduate study in the following fields: Economics and Management, Agriculture (including agronomy, plant protection, horticulture, animal sciences and forestry), Food Science and Engineering, Life Sciences, Resources and Environment, Information Science and Engineering. At the undergraduate level Reading will also welcome applications from SDAU students who wish to undertake a bespoke 80 credit Study Placement at UoR as part of the 4th year of their SDAU undergraduate programme. Having successfully completed both their SDAU degree and UoR Study Placement these students will be ideally placed to go on to a Masters programme in our Graduate Institute of International Development and Applied Economics. Professor Julian Park, Head of SAPD said: "We are very pleased that this agreement is now in place as we believe it will further enhance our links with SDAU and China more generally. Shandong is a strategically important agricultural and food producing province and SDAU, with over 30,000 students, has an excellent reputation in teaching and research in agriculture, food and related areas. We look forward to working closely with their students and further developing our links with the University."
