A thank you to donors

Thanks to the support of our donors we are able to ensure that the University continues to be a world leader.

Each year, we hold an annual event to which we invite supporters back to the University to thank them, to show how their gifts have made a difference, and showcase both current and future developments at Reading. This year's donor event was held in March and showcased research and projects from across the University. You can see photos from Donor Day 2012 on our Flickr page.

A message from Model United Nations

The student-led Model United Nations (RUMUN) Club received an Annual Fund grant last year to enable members to attend several conferences, including the Notts MUN conference; a prestigious annual event at which members could debate and develop their understanding of political issues within the UN.

Here, you can read their heartfelt letter to our donors who have made this possible:

Model United Nations say 'thank you' to donors!

Blandford Club Donor PinDonor Pin Week

University Donor Pin Week, which, this year, is taking place between April 30th and May 7th, is a national initiative aimed at raising awareness of philanthropic support for higher education. Bristol, Birmingham, Bath and Warwick are just a few of the other Universities taking part.

Reading has given donor pins to the Reading Pioneers, supporters who donate £1,000 or more each year; and Blandford Club members, those who make a regular donation by direct debit.

Donors are invited to wear their pins with pride during Donor Pin Week, to demonstrate the value of supporting the University and encourage their peers to join them in helping Reading to build on its successes as one of the top 200 universities in the world. This will also raise visibility of the influential community which philanthropically supports the work of universities in the UK.
