The Agriculture and Food Investigation Team (AFIT) is located in the Department of Agricultural and Food Economics within the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development. It is one of six members of Rural Business Research the largest specialist group of its kind in the UK, researching agriculture, business and the rural sector.
Our researchers are principally involved with the Farm Business Survey. The FBS is conducted nationally and AFIT has responsibility for the whole of the South East and large parts of the South West and West Midlands Government Office Regions. The team has particular expertise in the economics of horticulture and poultry production.
