My offer asks for an overall score of 5.5 in IELTS

The equivalent minimum score requirements in our accepted English Language tests for an offer condition of 5.5 overall in IELTS are shown below:

Cambridge English: Business English Higher (BEC Higher)/C1 Business Higher

Grade C or 180 overall with a score of borderline in all sections

Please note this test is only acceptable for entry if you are an EU applicant or if you have applied for the LLB Law with International Foundation Year (M1Q3).

Note: Name change to C1 Business Higher from 2018 onwards.

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)/C1 Advanced

Grade C or 180

Please note this test is only acceptable for entry if you are an EU applicant or if you have applied for the LLB Law with International Foundation Year (M1Q3).

Note: Name change to C1 Advanced from 2018 onwards.

Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)/C2 Proficiency

Grade C or 200

Please note this test is only acceptable for entry if you are an EU applicant or if you have applied for the LLB Law with International Foundation Year (M1Q3).

Note:  Name change to C2 Proficiency from 2018 onwards.

GCE English O Level

Grade C

Overall score of 5.5 with no element score less than 4.5

Please note this test must have been taken at a UKVI approved test centre

IELTS (Academic) Non-UKVI

Overall score of 5.5 with no element score less than 4.5

Please note this test is only acceptable for entry if you are an EU applicant or if you have applied for the LLB Law with International Foundation Year (M1Q3).

Pearson PTE (Academic)

Overall score of 53 with no area less than 36 

Please note this test is only acceptable for entry if you are an EU applicant or if you have applied for the LLB Law with International Foundation Year (M1Q3).
