  • Description
Butter prints were used for leaving a hallmark of the place of origin on blocks of butter and often had symbolic designs. This round print is carved with a design of three vertical leaves in the centre and a patterned border. It belonged to the donor's mother and grandmother, and probably dates from the 19th century.
