Nameplate from a Suffolk box wagon. It reads: 'LUSHER's EXORs, RAYDON. SUFF'. From the late 19th C. was probably used for general carting.
This is the nameplate from a Suffolk box wagon. It reads: 'LUSHER's EXORs // RAYDON. SUFF'. The wagon was probably built in the late nineteenth century, and was used in Suffolk from when it was made until it came to the museum, first at Sulley's Farm, Raydon, and then at Boxford Road Farm, Kersey. It was probably used for general carting on the farm and also for taking corn to the mill.
