24 bobbins used for making lace. They are made of wood and are decorated in a variety of ways, including with turning and wire wrapped around them. The bobbins have spangles - glass beads or ornaments attached to the bottom of the bobbin to provide additional weight. They were used by the donor since she acquired them whilst at school in Northamptonshire at the start of the twentieth century.
