A halter weight with a hole through the middle. Used for keeping the loose end of a horse?s halter lead taut when tied in the stable.
This is a round halter weight made of wood with a hole through the middle. It was used for keeping the loose end of a horse?s halter lead taut when tied in the stable. The end of the lead is passed through a ring in the manger and the weight is tied to the bottom. It is attached a halter (54/697). It is of a similar size to halter weight 51/729, but is more worn.
