    The donor's grandfather, who claimed to have come from Beccles, co. Suffolk to co. Middlesex in about 1840 as a hay dealer, farmed successively at Feltham and Bedfont, co. Middlesex. The donor's father (the W.J. Curtis of these accounts) began farming at Heath Row with £300 in about 1890. He bought Heath Row Farm in 1917 but because of labour problems, had to rent it out, until his son (H. Curtis) took over the farm in 1925. From 1920-1925, H Curtis had farmed with his brother at Rectory Farm, Heston. Heath Row was sold to the Air Ministry in 1944 Farm size etc. Heath Row - 150 acres, medium loam on gravel. Occupiers were tenants to the Hunt family until 1917, when W.J. Curtis bought 75 acres for £7, 500. The farm was a large market garden concern
