Learning and Teaching seminar: ‘Assessment is not up to the mark: Engaging students with assessment and feedback'.
The seminar will be an opportunity to discuss how students can become more involved with the assessment and feedback cycle in order to improve their marks and engage with their learning. The speaker will be Dr Chris Rust. Chris is a Deputy Director at ASKe (Assessment Standards Knowledge exchange), the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Oxford Brookes University Business School. In addition to assessment, Chris’ work focuses on new teachers in Higher Education and the use of workshops for staff development. Chris is a fellow of the Staff and Educational Development Association and a registered practitioner and accreditor for the HEA.
There will be a drinks reception held after the seminar.
