London Road campus by road
From the west, east and south :
New road signage is now in place (December 2006). The University of Reading is signified by UoR.
- Travel to Junction 11 of the M4 motorway.
- From the motorway roundabout take the B3270 (signposted to Earley and the University).
- Continue to the end of the road and turn left at the mini-roundabout onto the A327 (Shinfield Road).
- Immediately after passing the Shinfield Road entrance to Whiteknights campus, get into the right hand filter lane at the traffic lights.
- Turn right and then immediately left into Redlands Road.
- Follow Redlands Road downhill to the junction with London Road (A4).
- Turn left onto London Road and keep in the left hand lane and turn left into Crown Place.
- Follow signs to White Gates car park.
From the north :
- Travel towards the town centre
- Join the inner distribution road and following the signs for the University.
- Just after a major junction with a right turning to the A33, leave the inner distribution road by the exit on the left, signposted to the University.
- Still following the signs to the University travel along London Street and Silver Street.
- At the top of the hill, immediately past a parade of shops, turn left at the roundabout onto the A327 (Christchurch Road).
- At the junction of Christchurch Rd and Shinfield Rd turn left and then immediately left again into Redlands Rd.
- Follow Redlands Road downhill to the junction with London Road (A4).
- Turn left onto London Road and keep in the left hand lane and turn left into Crown Place.
- Follow signs to White Gates car park.

From Reading Station or Market Place to Kendrick Road (Mansfield Hall):
12 and 20, or to Craven Road/London Road (Royal Berks Hospital): 9 and 41.
From Friar Street:
15 (and 14 back to town).
From Reading Station and Market Place to Craven Road/London Road (Royal Berks Hospital):
N4 (direct), or N3 (long way round). Returning: N3 (direct) or N4 (long way round).
