Student Community Awards

Student Community Award nominees 2011The University's Student Community Awards scheme aims to recognise the individual efforts of students who help others in the local community.

The awards are for those students who give up their spare time on their own initiative, by providing support to others, by making a contribution to community life, or for acts of kindness or good neighbourliness.

The award has been funded by donations made to the Annual Fund by Reading Alumni. The prize(s) of up to £250 may be awarded to individual students, specific groups of students or student households.

Award nominations - 2012

Nominations are sought from students, University staff and local residents, and should normally be made without the student(s) knowledge.

The Award Committee, made up of representatives from Reading University Students' Union, local residents, the Chaplaincy and the University will announce the winner of the award in May 2012 at an awards ceremony.

The closing date for nominations is 25 March 2012.
