Opening Hours:
The Ure Museum is normally open to the public, schools, and researchers weekdays 9am to 4:30 pm. Admission to the museum is free. As the museum is also used for educational activities visitors may find themselves sharing the space with a class. See our Events page for forthcoming special events.
Getting to the Museum
The Museum is based in the centre of the University of Reading, Whiteknights campus, on the ground floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences (HumSS) building, in the Department of Classics, room 38. HumSS is shown on the map below.
Enter the University Campus off the A327 Shinfield Road, onto Queens's Drive (the turning with the University Sports Centre on the corner). See our exact location on on Google™ maps.
Reading Buses routes 9, 20 and 21 and Thames Travel route 144 provide regular bus service from Reading station.
