You will find excellent opportunities to pursue your studies.
Many of our academic
departments have been have been awarded 5* ratings for research and teaching. There are
also many clubs and societies which you can join, along with frequent
social events and groups which would welcome your contribution. By joining some

Reading International Office
(R.I.O)
The Reading International Office is
responsible for all students
enrolled on modules in the University but are not taking a University of Reading degree. The Reading
International Office, broadly speaking, therefore acts as the
admissions/faculty office, for 2 types of student:
•
Students who come from the European Union (EU) through the
SOCRATES-ERASMUS scheme, although there are increasing numbers of self-financing students
attending also.
•
Students from the USA, Japan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and
other non-EU nationals, known as JYA (Junior Year Abroad).
We hope that this website will provide answers
to many of your questions. If not, please do not hesitate to contact us - you
will find staff and students here are approachable and helpful. When you decide
to come to Reading please keep in contact with the Reading International Office team, and do not hesitate to come to us if problems arise.
I hope your stay at Reading
will be rewarding and enjoyable.
