UNIVERSITY HALL OF RESIDENCE FEES (2007-2008):

The fees for the academic year 2007 - 2008 have now been published.  

Please note that there will be an additional charge for the Welcome Programme which takes place a week before the start of term.

HALL OF RESIDENCE ACCOMMODATION: 

A=Autumn Term 

Sp=Spring Term 

S=Summer Term 

FULLY CATERED HALL (19 meals a week)

NB - accommodation is term time only

 

SELF-CATERED HALL (no meals provided)

Single Room without wash basin (Sibly):  A:  £905          Sp: £975            S: £530

Single Room with wash basin (Wessex/Hillside):  A:  £1078        Sp: £1160   S: £632

Single Room with en suite facilities (Sherfield):    A:  £1443        Sp: £1553   S: £845

NB - 39 week contract (includes vacation) 

 

COMPULSORY FEES FOR STUDENTS IN HALL OF RESIDENCE ACCOMMODATION

Junior Common Room (JCR):          £35-£55 to be confirmed

Hall of Residence Room Deposit      £100 (payable in advance)

 

Other University Accommodation

UNIVERSITY APPROVED HOST FAMILY£84.70 per week (single room, bed and breakfast only)


Private Accommodation

There is a wide variety of private accommodation available in Reading but at differing prices. Students renting a room in a shared house can expect to pay around £200 to £300 per month excluding meals, and there may be additional charges for gas, electricity and telephone etc. You will also need to pay one month's rent in advance. Please note that private lettings are responsibility of the students alone and not the University.
