Breakdown Insurance
When you motor abroad on University business it is possible to purchase
CONTINENTAL BREAKDOWN COVER via the AA.
The AA’s EUROPEAN BREAKDOWN COVER provides cover against the costs one could
incur following breakdown and/or recovery and assistance to drivers and
passengers.
This cover can be obtained on a ‘per trip’ basis by contacting the AA direct on
0800 55 11 88, quoting the University of Reading reference number - 66688, using
your purchase card. If you would prefer it, the Insurance Office can obtain this
cover for you. You will need to provide the name of the driver of each vehicle,
number of people travelling in vehicle, registration number, departure and
return dates and destination. Costs will depend on the duration of the trip.
Members of staff and students are automatically covered by the University of
Reading motor insurance whilst driving abroad in University owned vehicles.

you.
