BA English Language and Literature

We also offer a three year joint programme in English Language and Literature. You can combine the study of language in social contexts equally with the study of language in literary texts. Central to the English Language content of this degree is a focus on language in social contexts. In English Literature, you can extend your critical awareness by applying your linguistic expertise to the in-depth study of a variety of literary texts from a range of periods.

UCAS Tariff: AAB/A*BB from three A level subjects.  Total points must include grade B at A level English Literature or English Language and Literature. Total points exclude Key Skills and General Studies. International Baccalaureate: 6,6,6 in three higher level subjects including grade 6 in English .
