Receiving an offer for an Undergraduate Degree
Once you have completed your application, you will receive a decision from UCAS. If you have been successful in your application, you will receive an offer letter from the University as well as UCAS. This will give details of any conditions that you need to meet.
What to do next
-
Read your offer carefully
-
You will receive an offer letter from the University as well as from UCAS
-
Check the conditions of your offer:
- Academic
- Financial
- English Language -
Send the result of your English language test as soon as possible (if applicable) and let the University know as and when you meet your conditions.
-
Reply to UCAS by the deadline that they give you to let them know whether or not you wish to take up the place. There is no need to contact the University directly.
-
If you have a sponsor, confirm with them that the course is acceptable to them and ensure that you have sent the University confirmation that they will support you, including details of the value and duration of the award.
-
When UCAS confirms that Reading is your firm choice, you will receive instructions on how to submit an on-line application for accommodation with your academic offer from the Admissions Office.
- We will allocate hall accommodation (unless there are special circumstances, this is done on a 'first-come-first-served' basis).
-
Once you have met all of the conditions of your offer, the Admissions Office will inform you that your offer is unconditional and will send you instructions on how to obtain a CAS number which you will require in order to apply for a Tier 4 Student Visa.
