What attracted you to the University of Reading?
I knew the University of Reading before I came here. It is very good at agricultural economics and that is my favourite subject. I love my university because I have been taught by very good teachers. They are friendly and helpful whenever I have problems in my study. I have obtained a lot of knowledge through 12 modules and my dissertation.
Reading is very close to London and other beautiful places, such as Oxford, Brighton, Bath and Bristol. I like living in Reading because of its clean environment and friendly people. I have met many people who come from several countries. That is why I do not feel lonely when I see them.
Have you experienced any difficulties?
The speed of studying in the University of Reading is quite high. Therefore, I have to manage my time very well. I always talk to my family through on the internet which is a good way to reduce a stress of studying. I also ask my friends or my lecturers when I do not understand any homework or lectures.
Have you got any advice for future students?
I have received a scholarship, therefore I just focus on my study. I have some good friends and we are planning to cooperate with each other to do research. When I have free time, I like shopping in the town centre. I hope I can receive another scholarship to study PhD in the University of Reading.
What are you planning to do when you finish your course?
I was a researcher before I came here. I worked for the Central Institute for Economic Management in Vietnam. I decided to study a postgraduate course because I got a scholarship and I really need study to improve my work. I am hoping to do the same work but at a higher level. This means I will be able to write good papers or research which will be applied by quantitative and qualitative methods.
