What attracted you to the University of Reading?
My parents thought that Reading's environment is good owing to being near London. On the other hand, the CALS and department of Food Science in Reading is notably famous on worldwide web. Because of these, I'm now here and even enjoy studying at CALS! Teachers are professional and learning environment is excellent.
Although Reading is a small town, it is a good place to live and study because of safety and extreme convenience.
Have you experienced any difficulties?
I've been in bad moods over past two months due to being homesick as well as my heavy workload. As a result, I usually talk to my tutor, who is a nice person and really helps me a lot. In addition, I would chat with my roommates when we cook together. Furthermore, shopping is also a good solution as the town centre is nearby. Together, after overcoming these difficulties, I've been stronger than before.
What advice would you like to share with other potential students?
I may suggest bringing some food from your home country, it does work while being homesick. And also one kind of sport equipment if you really like playing it. Mojo's club in the student union is pretty good, so you should go there sometime!!
