What attracted you to the University of Reading?
University of Reading is one of the best educational institutes in the UK. My background is Computer science and I applied to the University for its strong grounding in IT and its presence in the town known for the hub of IT companies where major companies Microsoft and Oracle have their offices.
I decided to stay in Halls of residence as I wanted to explore the life on campus and chose Childs Hall. Being in the centre of the campus, it is close to all the facilities like library, classrooms, student union building, and gymnasium. I really enjoyed my stay in the hall. The administration of the hall is very friendly and staff are always willing to help.
I did not face any difficulty during my stay in the hall. All the staff is very cooperative and everybody is willing to help you. They let you feel like at home.
I received Erasmus Mundus Scholarship funded by European commission. The most fun part is the mobility of the course. It helped me to experience the European culture along with study in the good European universities.
Have you got any advice for future students thinking about studying at Reading?
Regarding food, students will not face any problem as there are many shops in the nearby areas of the campus where they find food of their choice. Halal meat and Pakistani food can be found easily.
What are you planning to do after your course?
I was doing job of Software Engineer at a Multi-National Company in Pakistan. I decided to apply for postgraduate to enhance my knowledge and polish my skills according to International standards.
