Our normal requirements are shown below.  However some programmes have different requirements so it is essential that you check with the appropriate Faculty Admissions Office.

If your English language ability is below the minimum requirement, we may ask you to attend an English language course before you begin your studies.  For more information on the language resources available to students at the University please see the English Language Help page.

 * Some exceptions may apply, e.g. MA ELT by Distance Learning requires score 7.0 IELTS but the campus-based course requires score 6.5 IELTS; Speech and Language Therapy require an IELTS score of 7.5 (with no elements below 7.0)
