Programme Content

This Masters explores banking and finance in an interna­tional context, with an emphasis on emerging economies. You will develop a critical understanding of both the theories and empirical research that are key to under­standing financial markets, assets and institutions and how they apply to countries in Eastern Europe and Asia. In addition, you will learn to to apply this knowledge within an institutional framework.

Thiscourse is designed for graduates seeking a career in commercial and investment banks, financial development corporations, multilateral and bilateral development agencies and non-governmental organisations that work with transitional and emerging markets.

Optional modules

You will also select up to 20 credits of optional modules, spanning areas including international managemnt and business culture, development, issues in globalisation and international business, small business economics and strategy.

Entry Requirements :

You are expected to have obtained a UK upper second-class honours degree, or the international equivalent, which includes a good understanding of core economics and quantitative methods. Students whose first language is not English are required to provide evidence of proficiency.
