Reading University Opera

L'Elisir d'Amore

This year, after a few changes because bits of music couldn't be found for the original plan96, the society has settled up Donizetti's "L'Elisir d'Amore". The Elixir of Love! Ah...opera has always been romantic. A brief gander at our catalogue of past performances will show that the society performed this once before, in 1985. So here are some quick hard facts (er...did I really say facts?):

Venue: The Great Hall. This is located in Gyosei College...what used to be part of the Reading campus. Perhaps there's some history to be read somewhere on the Internet about it...I'll get a map into place in due course.
Date: 27th, 28th of February, and 1st of March. 1997, of course.
Practice: There are rehearsals in the Music Department (35 Upper Redlands Road) every Thursday night, starting promptly at 7:30pm. Please come if you're interested but not sure, member or not. There are always positions to be filled, singing or otherwise! Please keep watching this space! I'll work on getting maps and so on into place!
