The executive are those people who do the organising of events and keep the club running. Executive positions include the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Cupboard Monster.

    Duties
  • Should oversee all the other members of the exec and make sure that they are doing their jobs. Provide support and help for them if necessary.
  • Motivate the team to organise events, allocate jobs where necessary.
  • Organise the purchasing of new equipment – check to see if anything needs replacing, get a consensus within the group on what to buy.
  • Apply for grants
  • Attend Union meetings – or find someone to attend in your stead
  • Keep the website updated
  • Train the new exec.
  • Organise trips

John Breakwell - Vice President

  • Help the president carry out his/her duties.
  • Create and keep an up-to-date list of members and their contact details.
  • Get an up-to-date list of games running for each term, who is running them, where, what time and who attends.
  • Book rooms for events and games where necessary.
  • Membership cards.
John Imossi - Secretary

  • Take minutes at meetings.
  • Attend the university’s combined clubs meetings (Thursday of weeks 2, 5 and 9)
  • Organise flyers and promotional material for events and the Freshers Fayre.

  • Keep records of all the clubs financial transactions.
  • Pay money into the account and organise the reimbursement of people buying things for the club.
  • Organise purchasing of club equipment.
Danielle Talbot - Safety Officer

    Duties
  • Ensure that LARP players all have Sports fed. Insurance.
  • Provide 2 first aiders for LARP events/games. (The union organises courses for this, book 2 regular LARPers onto them!)
  • Check the safety of the LARP equipment and discontinue its use if it is dangerous.
  • Be aware of when and where ALL games take place.
Beatrice Mueller - Cupboard Monster

    Duties
  • Look after the LARP equipment/ make sure it is kept safe.
  • Catalogue the GARPS library and equipment once a year.
  • Run the library – Record loans, get the books from the store for the loanee, retrieve books.
  • Manage the Library website.
  • Find out what new additions to the library would be both welcome and used by the members.
