Expeditions : Alps '98

"Past & Future Wonderings"

In July of this year the club will be running a trip to the French Alps. So if you want to complete the expedition section of you award then this is your chance!

If you are interested in doing your qualifying venture in one of the following ways then this trip is for you:
Expedition
Exploration
Canoe
A very loose plan for the trip is to spend a week in the "Ecrin" mountains towards the south of the French Alps. During this time all the D. of E. ventures will be done. The second week will be spent in the same place if the weather and location are OK else we may move to an area near Chamonix if thats what people want.

Facts about the trip:

Max. number of places : 30
No. of people interested : 29

Approx. cost per person : £190 (inc. travel, accom, food and insurance)
         Number of Buses : 2 (+1 trailer)

No. of people wanting to...
	do an expedition : 5
do an exploration : 6 (+2 thinking about it)
do a canoe venture : 2 (anyone else want to do this?)
	         unknown : 5
have fun : 11 (I believe the correct term is supervise!)

Approx. departure date : first weekend in July
Approx. return date : two weeks later
If you are interested in going on the trip please mail me (Dave Smale) as soon as possible.
