How to join
Welcome to the website for the Reading University Anime Society. The society aims to make hard-to-access anime and manga easily available to members and to promote Anime within Reading. If you are new to the society then please have a read of our Welcome Letter.
The Reading Anime Society meets twice every week during term, on Monday and Friday evenings between 7pm and 10pm in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Room 27. There will be signs up to show the way once you're in the building. :)
The aim of these meetings is to watch episodic anime. You can check out the programme and the synopses online if you want more information on what we're showing. Membership costs £5 (for the whole year), but please feel free to join us for an evening to decide whether you like it before joining. The society has a growing library of graphic novels and manga, available for loan by members.
The Anime society also screens full-length films periodically, these tend to be on Wednesday nights and will be separately advertised; both members and non-members are welcome to the film nights. Other activities include social meetings with anime-themed games and DDR, and of course the obligatory watching of AMVs...
