The School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences (as it was in 2010 and 2014) was awarded an Athena SWAN Silver award in 2010, renewed in 2014. Then as The School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences the renewal for the Athena SWAN Silver award in 2017 and 2022. The award is in recognition of good employment practices in relation to women working in science, engineering and technology (SET).
