*For the programmes in Real
Estate Economics and Real Estate Finance & Investment a primary degree
with a major in economics or finance is desirable
General
Entry Criteria
All applications are considered
on the basis of MSc entry, although the award of diploma is possible, we
do not accept applications on the basis of diploma entry. All applicants
must have a maths qualification in their school examinations (e.g. UK students
must have GCSE Maths at a “B” or above).
Application
Timetable
Applications are accepted
from November 2006, but no offers will be made until January 2007. We have
a limited number of places available and we have already made sufficient
offers to fill the programme for the 2007 entry.
Applications for the 2008
entry will be accepted from 1 November 2007. Please note that applications
are considered as they are received and you are strongly advised to apply
as early as possible.
Fees
Home and EU students:
The fee for the MSc Real Estate Programme is £11,000. This includes
a £850 Field Trip contribution.
International students;
The fee for the MSc Real Estate Programme is £13,000. This includes
a £850 Field Trip contribution.
In addition to the fees,
the University will seek a financial guarantee of approximately £10,000
to ensure that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your
time at Reading. There is a "deposit" requiremwnt of £500 for sucessful
candiates and details of this will be sent to you with your offer letter.
Sponsorships
We appreciate that obtaining
the funding for the MSc Real Estate Programmes is not easy and we do have
a limited number of Education Awards available. Details of how to apply
for these awards will be given to you when you are offered a place on the
programme.
Open
Days
All UK-based applicants
who are given an offer will be invited to a Real Estate Programmes Open
Day, where there is the opportuity to learn more about the programmes and
meet staff and students. This is an important part of your decision making
process and we urge all candidates to attend if at all possible.
Number
of Places
Approximately 60 students
will be admitted each year across the three programmes. There is no set
target for any one programme and all applicants are judged on the same
basis. If you are interested in more than one of the programmes, you only
have to apply for one. It is possible to move between the degree programmes
once registered.
Accommodation
and Halls of Residence
The
University has fourteen Halls accommodating approximately 4500 students.

There
is also a large stock of private rented accommodation around campus.
Due
to the intensive nature of the full-time programme, it is recommended that
students live in or around Reading.
