Gem is the Commercial Manager for Quaternary Scientific (Quest), Gem has a BSc (Hons) in Geography, and a MSc in Quaternary Science, both from Royal Holloway, University of London. Following completion of her Masters degree, Gem worked as a Project Manager for ArchaeoScape (Royal Holloway University) from September 2001, before moving to Quest in August 2008. From 2009 Gem has worked part time and has undertaken a variety of financial and marketing roles.
During the course of her time with Quest Gem has worked on and managed a range of geoarchaeological, palaeoenvironmental and commercial archaeological projects, many of which were based in London and the South East but also in Ireland, France and the Caribbean. This work has been undertaken for a wide range of clients including government organisations such as Archaeological Units, Historic England and Environment Consultancies.
Gem has a wealth of experience in a range of archaeological science techniques, including geoarchaeological borehole investigations, deposit modelling and laboratory extractions, assessments, analysis and report writing.
