MOBILITY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF READING MALAYSIA (UORM)
The university campus in Malaysia opened in 2015 and runs a BSc in Psychology within the Department of Psychology. Students are taught by leading international academic staff, and get access to excellent learning resources, as well as one-to-one teaching and support.
What is mobility?
UK based students can spend a term on this campus during the middle year of their psychology programme. Both the University of Reading and the University of Reading Malaysia deliver the same BSc Psychology programme, making the transition of learning for students easy to follow.
Why take part in mobility?
The mobility programme allows students to study in an environment where they can experience a new culture, meet new students, as well as studying on the same programme.
What our students say
"The best part is working hard all week, so you can travel on the weekend! The university is located in a great place for cheap and easy travel, so you can see the world whilst you study!"
-Shannon, UoRM mobility student, Autumn term 2016
"Choosing to study at UoRM was the best thing I've done at University- my time in Malaysia was the best part of my degree so far. Academically, the campus is a great place to learn, as the class sizes are so small that you get to know the lecturers well. The students were really welcoming of us and it was really easy to make friends because of this. The campus itself is very modern, and everything being in one place made it easy to study. But by far the best part of the experience was being able to travel so frequently- almost every weekend. From Johor Bahru we could reach Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and even Borneo easily. Seeing so much of Malaysia, sometimes with people we met at UoRM, was the most memorable part of my time in Malaysia."
-Daisy O'Connor, UoRM mobility student, Autumn term 2017
