Joint programmes

Explore the areas that interest you through a British Psychological Society accredited joint degree with Art or Philosophy

A joint degree offers the opportunity to study two subjects all the way through university. This adds breadth to your knowledge base but also equips you with skills from two different disciplines, as well as valuable time management skills in balancing your studies.

Our programmes are carefully designed so that you spend time exploring both subjects. You will study the core modules from both degree programmes allowing you to study the two subjects in depth. At the end of your first year, you also have the option to transfer onto the single honours psychology programme, if you find you're enjoying more of the psychology content.

Develop critical thinking skills and challenge your own and other's ideas with this long-standing joint degree with philosophy. Our students have gone into careers in the civil service, local government, journalism and politics.

Prepare for a career in art therapy, art writing and publishing with this four-year degree. Students will have the opportunity to engage in substantial practical work in the studio, develop their understanding of ideas and theories and gain broad based training in psychology.
