About the organisers

This conference is being organised by researchers in the Anxiety and Depression in Young People (AnDY) Research Unit in the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences at the University of Reading, in conjunction with the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust and the Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition.

Dr Polly Waite and Dr Laura Pass are both clinical psychologists and researchers leading research on adolescent mental health in school settings. Lucas Shelemy and Iona Lewis-Smith are PhD students conducting research on developing resources for teachers to use to support students around mental health, and how adolescents, parents, and school staff understand the concept of values and their relevance to teenage wellbeing. Lauren Bamford is a MSc student who is undertaking a study with young people attending an outdoor education centre around how best to support their mental health needs. The organisation of the conference is being supported by Ashika Mistry and Vicky Baldwin at the University of Reading.
