Why do Kadmos wear the hat in the Iconography on the vase-paintings?
For instance in the red-figure Krater of Louvre (the photo is online), or in the Calyx-Krater by the Spreckels Painter (Boardmann Athenian Red Figure Vases. Classical Period, n° 19), or in the Cup by Sotades Painter (Boardmann Athenian Red Figure Vases. Classical Period, n° 103).
