Widen your horizons
At Reading we offer the opportunity to study a wide range of languages at a variety of levels. There is flexibility in the type of course offered and, if studying for a degree, you may combine a language with a wide variety of other subjects.
German
- You can study German language as part of a single or joint degree, at beginners, intermediate or advanced level. Click here to visit the Department of German Studies home page. Check entry requirements on the course page for German.
- You can also study German as a module within your degree on an intensive beginners course, taking you to GCSE level in one term and A-level in two. This is taught in the German department. German for Beginners
- You can also study German on a less intensive course as a module within your degree. This is taught as part of the Institution-Wide Language Programme (IWLP). Most programmes allow you to take 20 credits per year with IWLP as part of your degree. IWLP information
