About European Literature and Culture

European Literature and Culture is a fascinating and challenging area of study. The new multi-disciplinary BA programmes that the University of Reading is offering allow you to combine European Literature and Culture with History or English.

Through these programmes you will get a chance to study some of the greatest works of literature ever written, from the medieval period to the present day. Since everything on the programme is in translation, you do not need to have any foreign language skills – though you will have ample opportunity to develop them at Reading if you want to!
