An agricultural economist by background, I have worked in the Department since 1976. Appointed as information officer, I started - and edited for over 20 years - the professional journal which the Department published until 1998, most recently under the title of The Rural Extension Bulletin. Alongside this I taught, and carried out consultancy work on sustainable agriculture and farming systems as well as on development communication, the latter using the editing, writing and desk-top publishing experience I developed on the REB.
