Graduation day

What to wear

Students at a Graduation CeremonyYou should hire or buy your academic dress at least 21 days before your degree ceremony.

Graduation is a formal occasion, so you should wear smart clothing beneath your gown and you should not wear jeans or trainers. Men must wear a tie and it is important to wear smart but comfortable shoes. It is also useful to wear a buttoned blouse/shirt, which will make it easier for you to attach the hood to your clothing.

If you are not wearing suitable clothing, you will not be allowed to join the student procession.

On arrival at London Road
