Ticket allocation confirmation

We will confirm your ticket allocation when we email further instructions approximately 6 weeks before Graduation.Graduation Ceremony in the Great Hall at London Road, University of Reading

There is no charge for guest tickets.

Graduating students do not require a ticket for the Great Hall.

If there any extra tickets, they will be available 90 minutes before your ceremony from the Information and Ticket Desk. Students must have identification with them when collecting tickets.

We will update the Graduation News page and social media about extra ticket availability for ceremonies.

There is no charge for extra tickets.

Extra ticket availability will be announced shortly before the week of Graduation.

Video Relay

You can bring as many guests as you like to the London Road campus on the day.

Guests without tickets for the Great Hall will be able to watch the ceremony live on big screens in the video realy room in building 22.

If you need to reserve a space in this room for any guests who need special arrangements then please email graduation@reading.ac.uk as soon as possible.

Guests with children

It is worth noting that Graduation is not a child friendly event: the ceremony is solemn with some longer speeches.

Children aged 2 and under do not need their own ticket for the hall if they sit on an adults lap but children aged 3 and over will need their own guest ticket. Children under the age of 16 should not be left unaccompanied.

Reserved seating arrangements

If you or a guest has a disability or mobility difficulties

Students

The Great Hall is a beautiful building but, in common with many other older buildings, it was not built with wheelchairs in mind. Where graduates are wheelchair users, we need to know well in advance as a ramp has to be built. If you have other mobility or other restrictive issues, we have a wealth of experience in working with graduates to ensure you can enjoy the day fully, but we do need to know about your requirements.

Please contact graduation@reading.ac.uk by Friday 6 May, or you can  to make arrangements if you would prefer.

Guests

We try our hardest to accommodate guests with any concerns but it will always help to reassure them if arrangements are made in advance. For guests with wheelchairs, the hall is accessible but we need to remove chairs from the seating area to accommodate the wheelchair, and if your guest needs an aisle seat or a seat near doorways for medical reasons, we can reserve appropriate seating.

Please contact graduation@reading.ac.uk if possible by Friday 6 May to make arrangements. We may not be able to accommodate requests for guests received after Friday 17 June.
