Community events

The University of Reading enjoys a world-class reputation for teaching, research and enterprise. We want to share our success with you and engender a sense of pride in our achievements.

We organise Community Open Events for you to find out what we are doing and to give you the opportunity to raise any queries or concerns with us. These events (previously called the Neighbourhood Forum) are chaired by Professor Steve Mithen, (Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International and External Engagement). They are also attended by senior colleagues responsible for running the University who are interested to hear from you and respond to your questions.

Previous Community Open Events have included visits to the new facilities at Hopkins Building, home to Biological Sciences and the recently opened Henley Business School. In November, visitors were invited to the University's world-renowned Department of Meteorology.

You are welcome to our next Community Open Event on Monday 23 May 2011 at 6.45pm.
