  Prospective StudentsReading Students

The CWAC website provides a number of resources for students who would like to study conservation biology and applied ecology and for those who already do.

General resources are available below. If you are interested in the courses available at Reading then visit the Information for Prospective Students pages. If you are a Reading student already then there are specific resources for you on the Information for Reading Students pages.

The Student Research Symposium gives final year undergraduate and masters students the opportunity to present their research findings to other students, CWAC staff and numerous invited Reading alumni and employers working in conservation.

The Student Research E-Journal gives Reading students undertaking research projects in zoology and applied ecology the opportunity to publish their findings as a scientific paper.

The Where To Find Wildlife Map shows the location of great wildlife sites in and around Reading that our students have visited either during their studies or on their own forays in search of wildlife.

Reading students studying zoology and applied ecology are now encouraged to keep Fieldwork Diaries of their time working in the field. CWAC showcases these diaries to show how rewarding this activity can be and and how much wildlife our students get to see...!

The Careers and Volunteering Opportunities pages are designed to give you information that will help you choose a career by providing information about what employment opportunities exist in conservation, what employers want and by reporting the conservation jobs that Reading graduates have gone on to have.
