Undergraduate courses

A degree from Reading will provide you with an excellent springboard to your career in the construction industry. Our School is listed as 2nd in the latest Times league tables, for building. In the latest Teaching Assessment Exercise, we achieved one of the highest scores for degrees in the built environment.

At Reading you will be taught by leading academics with a wealth of experience of the construction industry and surveying profession. This together with the rich learning experience we provide has led to our excellent reputation for our degree courses. Indeed, many of our graduates go on to become leaders and managers within the construction and surveying professions throughout the world.

We offer four full-time three-year undergraduate BSc honours courses:

• BSc Building Surveying
• BSc Construction Management
• BSc Quantity Surveying
• BSc Built Environment Management

The programme followed in the first two years is the same for all degrees, and students choose their final year degree subject in the second year. This aspect is particularly attractive as it provides flexibility for those students who are not quite sure of the specific degree or profession they wish to follow.
