Areas of Interest:

I have recently joined the lecturing staff at the School of Construction Management and Engineering having worked in commercial practice in London, Germany and for the last 12 years in Brussels. I have a wide range of surveying experience in multidisciplinary environments and have an interest in building pathology and defect analysis.

Career Path:
In 1989 I enlisted in the RAF and qualified as a radar technician. I continued part time studying for a BTEC GNVQ in Construction and The Built Environment this allowed me to enter Higher Education. I completed an honours degree in Building Surveying at The Nottingham Trent University in 2000 and worked for 2 years in London. I became a professional member of the RICS in 2002 relocating to Germany before moving to Belgium in 2003 to run the Building Surveying department of a multidisciplinary consultant based in Brussels. I continue to work in practice parallel to my duties at the University as a consultant in the delivery of Technical Due Diligence to International Investors.
