The School of Construction Management and Engineering at the University of Reading is a world leader in teaching and research about the management, design and economics of engineered technologies, primarily in the construction field.

Research
Construction Management and Engineering attained a top international rating of 5 in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise. CME focuses on a multi and interdisciplinary approach to research in areas such as sustainable urban environments, inclusive environments, sustainable technologies, construction management, infrastructure management and innovative procurement.
Teaching and learning
We offer a full range of programmes undergraduate, postgraduate, executive education, specialist consultancy services and doctoral degrees. The Good University Guide in The Times lists Reading as a top university for degrees in building and surveying, and career prospects for our graduates are excellent.
Our school was rated as Excellent in the most recent national Teaching Quality Assessments.
