The Centre for Advanced Microscopy supports and enables activity in all areas of science, engineering and medicine.

CfAM works in partnerships, in collaboration and in networks with researchers and research organisations at Reading, across the UK and around the world.

CfAM undertakes confidential  in all areas of science, engineering and medicine for commerce, industry and the public sector.

CfAM offers specialist services in Biological microstructure, Biomedical and pharmaceutical systems, Carbon nano-based materials, Food Systems, Material failures, Optical Security, Plastics, rubbers and composites, Product Development and Recycling.

CfAM provides training and support for those who are able to use the facilities directly and we welcome such users from other Universities, Research Centres, Industry and the Public Sector.

CfAM welcomes visiting scientists from outside the UK who wish to enhance their portfolio of skills or wish to undertake microscopy related research; It is a great place to take your sabbatical leave.
