Our Facilities

The Centre provides comprehensive facilities for electron microscopy (SEM, TEM), X-ray microanalysis (EDX, WDX), spectroscopic imaging (Infra-red, Raman), visible light microscopy and scanning probe microscopy (AFM).

There are several options for accessing CfAM facilities and expertise, such as:

• Direct access to Instruments
• Training
• Specialist Services

Charges for access or services will be dependent upon a number of factors, although for University customers will be largely dictated by the rules & processes of the grant awarding bodies.  Each project will need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
