Reading Medieval Reviews

Welcome to Reading Medieval Reviews.

This e-journal is linked to Reading Medieval Studies, and publishes reviews of significant work in all aspects of medieval studies. It is accessible not only to subscribers to Reading Medieval Studies but to all those interested in medieval history, literature, art and architecture or archaeology, via the website of the Graduate Centre for Medieval Studies (you can choose from the drop down bar on the left).

New reviews will be posted several times each year, and are available either to read online or in a format suitable for printing. Reviews are contributed both by members of the Graduate Centre for Medieval Studies and by scholars from other universities. Our aim is to make reviews available quickly and freely; authors and publishers are also welcome to respond. Reviews in Reading Medieval Reviews are not only broad in scope but flexible in format, allowing reviewers to compare books directly, and to match the length of the review to the importance of the subject.

Permission to retransmit reviews will be granted for academic purposes, on condition that Reading Medieval Reviews is contacted in advance and is duly credited.

If you wish to submit a review, to send in a book for review, or to respond to a review, please e-mail the editor, Dr Anne Lawrence a.e.mathers-lawrence@rdg.ac.uk
